Repeat Prescriptions

The easiest and preferred method to order your repeat medications is through the use of online ordering via SystmOne. SystmOne allows you to request your repeat medication, view your record as well as book appointments. You can register for this service by downloading the form here. This form will need to be filled out and handed in to our reception team, who will check your ID then provide you with a username and password. Alternatively, you can fill out your paper repeat slip by ticking against the items you would like to request. This can be popped in to our prescription box next to our reception desk, or we have a prescription post box outside our main entrance which can also be used when the surgery is closed i.e. evenings or weekends.

If you have notified us which pharmacy you would your prescription to go to, we can send the prescription electronically. This means prescriptions can be sent to the pharmacy of your choice near where you live, work or shop.

Please note we do NOT accept prescription requests over the phone or by email.

Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD)

Are you suitable for these type of ‘batch’ prescriptions? You may be if you are on a small number of regular medications.  If you are eligible then eRD is a process that allows you a to obtain repeated supplies of their medication without the need for the prescriber to sign repeat prescriptions each time. You will still require regular medication reviews up to every 12 months to ensure appropriate ongoing use of your medications.

The eRD service:

  • is more convenient for you as you no longer need to request your medications from the surgery
  • allows community pharmacy teams to be more efficient in their dispensing of your medications
  • frees up time in GP practices to allow better patient care

Your community pharmacist may ask you some questions to check you are still getting on with your medications.  Make sure to let the pharmacy know should there be items you no longer need. This will help to reduce waste and save the NHS money.

If you would like more information or wish to sign up for this service, please email the surgery at [email protected]  or speak to our reception team.
